Perinatal Project Facilitator

Location: Newham, UK
Type: Part-time | Community-based | Fixed-term (until March 2026, subject to funding)

About the Role
Good Shepherd Voluntary Organisation is seeking a compassionate and organised Facilitator to support our perinatal wellbeing programme in Newham. The facilitator will play a central role in planning and delivering group support sessions for new and expectant parents, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead structured group sessions for parents/carers

  • Support participants with signposting and relevant resources

  • Work closely with peer mentors and other team members

  • Help monitor session attendance and participant feedback

  • Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality practices

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience facilitating group activities or support sessions

  • Knowledge or interest in perinatal mental health and family wellbeing

  • Good communication and people skills

  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
